Fantastic opportunity to work as a contractor, for at least 6 months, for this major science and technology outsourcing company, in their prestigious offices in East Kilbride.
The Service Desk within Integrated Services Management Centre (ISMC) provides single point of contact for our client`s multiple customers and forms vital interface between support staff and customer base. Duties include:
Receive and record all service requests via email, telephony and web interfaces Provide initial assessment of service requests and make 1st attempt at resolution, and*or refer to 2nd line and 3rd party support, based on agreed service levels Monitor and escalate all service requests according to agreed service levels Keep customers informed on status of all service requests, ensuring ownership is retained.
You MUST have:
Proven understanding of IT terminology, perhaps from previous studies or work experience Good understanding of range of hardware and software within IT Keyboard skills Analytical and problem solving skills. Communication skills Customer facing attributes and interpersonal skills Team Player Ability to work in busy environment.
It would be desirable if you have previous experience of working in customer facing environment, preferably IT related, along with IT qualification; IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) accreditation or Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) accreditation.
